About The Position

Junior Quality Engineer

Salary range: $20-$22 hourly



SUMMARY: Responsible for the Quality control and surveillance of assigned programs to ensure compliance with company’s quality processes and procedures as well as those required by Aitech customer contracts.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Staying up-to-date with Aitech product test and design specifications.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Aitech’s hybrid electronics manufacturing process.
  • Participates in artifact reviews for milestone completion (MRR and TRR)
  • Performs defect and statistical analysis to assess the cost of, and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Writes non-conformance reports and follows through to closure
  • Proficient in the application and use of the Quality toolbox: NCR, MRB, RCCA, 5-Why, 8D, etc.
  • Investigates and understands developments in quality assurance specifications and standards
  • Communicates and resolves QA issues with operators/technicians on a day-to-day basis
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

·      Knowledge of AS9100/ISO Requirements

·      Proficient Microsoft Products including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·      Working knowledge and understanding of basic electronic principles, PCB manufacturing and environmental testing

Preferred

·      Certification in IPC-A-610 – Acceptability of electronic assembly

·      Certification and/or knowledge in IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-2220 family, IPC-6012/6013, and IPC-A-600

 

EXPERIENCE:

3- 5 years related experience

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Science degree in related field or in process of obtaining

 

 *Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the United States
