About The Position

Systems Engineer IV

Salary range: $140K-$185K DOE

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for Systems Engineering tasks, including:

  • System requirements development, validation, and decomposition
  • Lead program gate reviews to ensure the optimization and efficiency of our embedded systems architectures
  • Interface design
  • Drive system integration efforts, ensuring seamless stakeholder coordination and functionality across all embedded system components
  • Actively lead risk management programs, diligently assessing potential vulnerabilities and implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks effectively
  • System modeling and simulation
  • Requirements reviews and tracking
  • Coordinate requirement deviations and compliance waivers
  • Test planning, definition, development and qualification
  • Systems analysis and verification
  • Systems close-out reporting
  • Drive root cause corrective action (RCCA) process for non-compliance reports (NCRs)

 Perform systems technical lead tasks providing guidance for:

  • Design efforts
  • Design reviews
  • Drawing releases
  • Organizing and tracking of system configuration and changes
  • Coordination and development of the test programs including procedures, test equipment, and reporting. Successful candidate will have and be proficient with Microsoft Office tools. 
  •  Prepare and present customer presentations, and participate in face to face customer discussions regarding complex technologies
  • Develop technical solutions derived from technology building blocks
  • Lead special Research & Development project activities or investigations within the Engineering discipline.
  • Coordinate activities of engineers within the Engineering Department and Program Office

  

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication skills and team player
  • Possess extensive experience with customer interfacing with technical and program management stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of managing requirements on large-scale projects
  • Exposure across the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to operational deployment
  • Strong knowledge of embedded computing hardware, including PowerPC, Graphics, Comms and I/O and DSP applications
  • Hands on development, test and analysis experience
  • Diverse background in electronic circuit design for embedded computer system development
  • Experience in multitasking assignments, particularly with a small company environment

  

Experience:

BS and 10+ years of relevant experience

Experience with mil-spec programs

Experience with space programs, processes and standards, a plus

 

Education:

BS in Engineering, Physics, Math or other relevant degree. MS preferred
