QSME Quality Engineer
About The Position
At Aitech, our team is driven to redefine the possibilities of embedded hardware systems for space applications. We pride ourselves on 30+ years of successful space hardware delivery to our customers! We are growing our team to support human space flight missions to the lunar surface and beyond!
SUMMARY: Responsible for the Quality planning and implementation of assigned programs to ensure compliance with company’s quality processes and procedures
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Familiarity with product functional and design specifications
- Familiar with reviewing and approval of program compliance matrix
- Participates in artifact reviews for milestone completion (MRR and TRR)
- Identifies and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products and production equipment based on program needs
- Performs defect and statistical analysis to assess the cost of, and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
- Proficient in the application and use of the Quality toolbox: NCR, MRB, RCCA, 5-Why, 8D, etc.
- Investigates and thoroughly understands developments in quality assurance specifications and standards
- Conducts audits and witnesses environmental tests and setups
- Conduct internal audits throughout the organization
- Conducts audits at subcontractors and key vendors
- Communicates and resolves QA issues with operators/technicians on a day-to-day basis
- Prioritizes and manages multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements
· Understanding of AS9100/ISO Requirements
· Experience with AS9102 FAI format and requirements
· Certification in IPC-A-610 – Acceptability of electronic assembly
· Proficient Microsoft Products including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Working knowledge and understanding of basic electronic principles, PCB manufacturing and environmental testing
Preferred
· Certification and/or knowledge in IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-2220 family, IPC-6012/6013, and IPC-A-600
EXPERIENCE:
Min 5 years related experience
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in related field
CQE/CRE preferred
