About The Position

Aitech is seeking a skilled Production Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality, and implementing innovative technologies to enhance efficiency in our manufacturing operations. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define DFM/DFA guidelines.
  • Review new PCB and PCBA designs and evaluate compliance to DFM/DFA guidelines.
  • Define SOW with PCB, PCBA manufacturers and monitor their compliance.
  • Conducts process audits at subcontractors.
  • Monitor on site production processes.
  • Performs defect analysis utilizing experience in statistical quality process analytical methods.
  • Performs Root Cause Analysis for failures and develops action plan to address discrepancies; communicates with customers as required.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Vast knowledge in PCB and PCBA manufacturing process.
  • IPC–A-610 and J-STD-001 certified. Certified as instructor is a plus.
  • Certified as IPC-7711/7721 is a plus.
  • Vast knowledge in soldering process, Reflow, vapor phase, RoHS, Leaded, mix,  re-balling, rework stations.
  • Ability to evaluate XRAY outputs and derive actions to improve quality and long-term reliability.
  • Ability to evaluate solder joints under microscope and derive actions to improve quality and long-term reliability.
  • Experience in analyzing VALOR reports and ability to derive actions out of it.
  • Knowledge of electronic components packaging, their limitations and practices to improve quality and long-term reliability (BGA, QFN, TSOP, TSSOP, TH etc.).  
  • Knowledge in conformal coating processes and testing.
  • Knowledge in PCB materials and plating (ENIG, HASL etc.).
  • Knowledge in underfill materials and process.
  • Proficient Microsoft Products including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

EXPERIENCE:

5-10 years related experience.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in related field.
