IQSat Awarded Platinum Accreditation, Named Among the Year’s Most Innovative Aerospace and Defense Solutions
CHATSWORTH, Calif., Oct. 21, 2025 – Aitech, a global leader in AI-powered rugged embedded computing systems for defense and space applications, announced today that its IQSat™ constellation has received Platinum recognition in the 2025 Military & Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards. IQSat is the first AI-enabled picosatellite (PicoSat) constellation platform designed to detect and analyze patterns and anomalies across applications in agriculture, biology, climate monitoring, defense, and public safety.
An IQSat constellation delivers rapid, actionable data by combining efficient data collection, real-time AI analysis, and near-real-time processing in space. This approach ensures that only the most relevant data is sent from the satellite to the ground, unlike today’s systems that require ground crews and large-scale storage to sort through raw data before making decisions. For the military, the ability to respond within seconds to unusual activity can mean the difference between mission success and failure, and it is critical to protecting the safety of warfighters.
“IQSat builds on four decades of proven performance in rugged embedded computing and trillions of miles flown in space without a single mission failure,” said Jeremy Dingman, director of global marketing, Aitech. “This recognition highlights IQSat’s groundbreaking approach to space intelligence and its ability to set a new standard for AI on orbit.”
Roughly the size of a compact Bluetooth speaker, IQSat is small enough to fit in the palm of a hand yet powerful enough to run AI at the edge in space. It is the first of its kind to deliver AI capabilities in a low-cost commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platform for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) missions, enabling insights that were previously out of reach.
When paired with Intuidex’s Watchman for Space™ (W4S™), an IQSat constellation can detect “dark ships” engaged in drug smuggling, illegal fishing, or human trafficking. By flagging unusual activity with a simple alert, IQSat provides actionable intelligence for homeland security and coastal defense. The same technology can expand into agriculture, climate science, disaster response, and other critical applications.
The Military & Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards honor companies, designers, and technologists whose creative and impactful work advances the aerospace and defense industries.
Availability
IQSat will be available for mission development in Q1 2026. Customers can either purchase the IQSat with pre-selected payloads, including earth observation or RF sensing, build their own, or discuss purchasing data from Aitech Systems’ constellation of satellites launching later in 2026.
